Pre-conference workshop venue

Monday 10th June

Note that pre-conference workshops will be held at the Charles Darwin University Waterfront Campus (pre-conference workshop location) near the Convention Centre (not to be confused with the CDU Casuarina or Palmerston Campuses).  

 

AMOS-ICTMO 2019 Conference Venue 

11-14th June - Darwin Convention Centre

The conference will be held at the Darwin Convention Centre within the Darwin Waterfront Precinct. Conference registration will open at the Convention Centre at 8:00am on Tuesday 11th June and the Conference closes on Friday 14th at 5:30pm. 

Program

The program can be accessed via http://amos-ictmo-2019.m.amos.currinda.com/information. This site allows you to browse the program by day, session or search by author or abstract content. The ‘Glance’ version provides an overview of the whole program.  We will also forward a pdf version fo the program for you to print and bring along and a searchable pdf of the Abstract Book.  This will also be available to download at www.amos2019.org.au

Sustainability

We are committed to providing a low-waste conference. Please bring your own bag, water bottle, reusable coffee-cup (for coffee on-the-go), and any stationary you may require. Water stations will be available throughout the venue.  All program information can be found online.  You should print your own program and papers in advance if required.   

Weather

It’s the Dry season in Darwin, typically characterised by warm (~31°C) dry days and mild nights (~20°C). In the Larrakia indigenous weather calendar, this season is known as ‘Dinidjanggama’ or ‘heavy dew time’. Keep an eye on the forecast.

WiFi

Free Wifi is available at the Darwin Convention Centre (moderate speed - 512 kps).  There will be signage at the Centre with access details.  

AMOS Students Prizes for Best Poster and Best Oral Presentation

AMOS will again have an Award of $250 for the Best Oral Presentation and the Best Poster Presentation by a student.  To vote for your favourite, please choose “thumbs up” on the abstract page on online conference program.

You will need cash to purchase food at Mindil Markets and Deckchair Cinema.  You can find in the Darwin Waterfront Precinct. Click here to download a map. 

Lunch

Don’t forget that lunch is NOT provided with registration (except for special workshops or activities that require registration). There’s a variety of lunch options at a number of food outlets located near the Darwin Convention Centre. Take a break and explore Darwin and the Waterfront Precinct.
