Nerilie Abram

Associate Professor Nerilie Abram is a Future Fellow at the Australian National University, and a Chief Investigator for the Centre of Excellence for Climate Extremes. Her research focuses on reconstructing climate variability over the last 1,000 years from corals and Antarctic ice cores to give a long-term perspective on the processes and significance of recent anthropogenic climate change. She recently served as a Coordinating Lead Author for the IPCC Special Report on the Ocean and Cryosphere in a Changing Climate, released in September 2019.
